I am exploring my curiosities here, as writing is my way of truly understanding the concepts I encounter. Usually, it starts with something I ran into at work, or a claim I kept seeing repeated and wanted to check for myself.

Lately, that's been systems under load: what actually slows them down, what the trade-offs cost, and when a complicated answer earns its keep. But I don't have a fixed plan for what comes next — whatever turns out to be more interesting than expected usually becomes the next piece.
